Super Visa
A visitor visa or temporary resident visa (TRV) makes someone eligible to travel to Canada.
The Super Visa is issued for parents and grandparents of Canadian Citizens and Permanent residents living in foreign countries desiring to visit Canada for long time (more than 6 months). This visa lets the parents or grandparents visit their children for up to 5 years. Super Visa holders are not allowed to work during their extended stay.
The applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for
Super Visa-
1. Applicant must apply from outside Canada
2. have no past criminal or illegal activity record
3. compulsory medical test clearance
4. Applicant must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
5. Applicant must have a signed letter from the child or grandchild who invites applicant to Canada that includes the permanent resident document, promise of financial support for the visitor.
6. Have a medical insurance from an eligible Canadian insurance company.
